Inside Angel City FC’s training facility in Thousand Oaks, there’s a ceiling-mounted illuminated sign that hangs directly above the player lockers. It’s not just decoration—it’s the first thing you see when you walk into the room, and one of the few visual elements that connects the space to the team’s identity. Over time, though, it started to lose its edge. The lighting had dimmed. The structure needed reinforcing. The overall look just didn’t match the sharp, modern vibe of the rest of the facility.
This wasn’t a blank slate. The existing sign had great placement, strong branding, and real potential—it just needed a reset. The challenge was to upgrade the sign without compromising its original role in the space. Plus, given that it’s suspended overhead, structural integrity and precision installation were just as important as visual improvements.
We carefully removed the piece and brought it into our shop for a full surface and structural refresh. Everything was approached with long-term function and visual quality in mind. Once complete, the sign was reinstalled in its original location—restored, realigned, and ready to continue anchoring the room the way it was meant to.
The upgraded sign doesn’t try to dominate the space—it brings it together. It adds focus to the room without drawing too much attention to itself. Most importantly, it once again reflects the identity of the club and the care that goes into every corner of the environment they’ve built.
Some signage projects are about first impressions. This one was about reinforcing what already mattered. We’re proud to support a team like Angel City FC with a solution that honors both their space and their standards.
