L-Acoustics develops professional audio systems used in concert venues, touring productions, theaters, and live event environments around the world. For this project, the goal was to create a large-scale physical representation of the company’s logo that could function as both a branded display and a visual landmark within an event setting.
Description & Challenge
Unlike traditional signage, this project was not attached to a building or permanent structure. The display needed to be freestanding, durable, and capable of being moved between locations while maintaining a clean, finished appearance from every viewing angle.
The structure also had to reproduce the geometry of the L-Acoustics logo at a much larger scale. Because the display would be viewed both up close and from a distance, proportion, depth, and finish quality were critical to the final result.
The Solution
We fabricated a custom dimensional display featuring a large-scale interpretation of the L-Acoustics logo mounted on a freestanding base.
The primary structure was fabricated using painted aluminum components finished in a metallic gold color. The lower section incorporated dimensional logo lettering mounted to a custom base structure.
To support transportation and repositioning, the display was installed on a heavy-duty mobile platform with integrated locking casters. This allowed the structure to remain portable while providing the stability required for event use.
Design Considerations
Scale was one of the primary considerations throughout the project. The display needed to be large enough to establish a presence within a venue environment while remaining visually balanced when viewed at close range.
The metallic finish was selected to create contrast against surrounding architecture and landscaping without relying on illumination. The open geometry of the logo also helped reduce visual weight while preserving the recognizable form of the brand mark.
Mobility was equally important. The base was engineered to support the structure while allowing repositioning as event layouts changed.
The Impact
The completed installation functions as both a brand display and a physical architectural element within the venue environment. Its scale allows it to be recognized from a distance, while the dimensional construction provides detail and depth when viewed up close.
Rather than relying on graphics or temporary banners, the structure creates a permanent-quality branded presence that can be reused across multiple event settings.
Key Benefits
• Custom large-scale dimensional logo structure
• Freestanding design requiring no building attachment
• Metallic painted aluminum construction
• Integrated dimensional logo lettering
• Mobile base with locking caster system
• Durable construction suitable for repeated event use
• High visibility from multiple viewing distances
This project focused on translating a two-dimensional logo into a physical object that could occupy space within a live event environment. The result is a reusable branded display that combines scale, mobility, and fabrication precision in a single structure.
